SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – In accordance with Governor Lee’s guidelines and executive orders, the City of Springfield is pleased to announce that an abbreviated youth baseball and softball season will be held. Additionally, the City of Springfield will be holding it’s annual Fourth of July Fireworks.
Youth Baseball/Softball LeaguesYouth baseball and softball leagues will gather for practices beginning June 1 and kick off season games after a two-week practice period at J. Travis Price Park.
The city has released guidelines for the safety of players, parents, and coaches for the 2020 season. Those guidelines can be found here.
Fourth of July FireworksThe City of Springfield’s fireworks show is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 4, 2020. However, J. Travis Price Park will be closed to the public to ensure the safety of citizens due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants are encouraged to view the show from their preferred location around the city. As usual, fireworks will begin at dark.
