Springfield Parks and Recreation will provide diversified and optimum recreational activities and facilities that enhance the quality of life for people of all ages.

Open Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Parks and Recreation Administrative Offices.  Indoor Track, Exercise Machines, Group Exercise Programs.  Great venue for banquets, reunions, meetings, wedding receptions, and fundraising events. 

American Legion Park

Adult Leagues, Picnicking, Access Springfield Greenway. 

Garner ST Park 200 N. Garner ST, Garner St. Park
May 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM the tennis Courts will be dedicated as the Curtis Holland Tennis Complex. 
Playground, Tennis Courts.  Access Springfield Greenway. Picnic Gazebo* may be reserved for $10.00 per hour with five (5) tables and a small grill.
Full payment and signed contract required at time of reservation. See pictures in slideshow below.

SPECIAL NOTICE: As of January 11, 2019 the park is fully open after Winter Wonderland event clean-up. 
Athletic Fields.  Access Springfield Greenway.  Historic Cabin. Picnic Shelters* and Post 48 Community BLDG.*  Shelters rent for $10.00 per hour.  Shelter 1, near the lake and playground with 7 tables and one large grill. Shelter 2 near the sports complex with 8 tables and 2 large grills.  Post 48 Community Bldg. which accommodates up to 50 guests rents for $50.00 for the first two hours plus $15.00 each additional hour.  Eight six foot rectangle tables are available for dining with a serving counter.  Cooking appliances are not available.  Full payment and a signed contract are required at time of reservation. See pictures in slideshow below.

Martin Luther King Jr. Park 2623 S. Main St. S. Main St. 
Football field with 8-lane track and youth soccer fields.  Coming soon, Splash Pad.

Approximately three miles of multipurpose path connects parks, the historic district and business district.  See pictures in slideshow below.

Dog Park in Springfield...Ribbon Cutting May 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM. 
A group of dog owners are actively fundraising and applying for grants to build a dog park in Springfield, TN.  Learn more at the Facebook group "Springfield needs a Dog Park".
